The 25th annual program on Current Issues in Insurance Regulation features regional and national leaders exploring topical issues of importance to the insurance industry, with opportunities for questions and interaction with the faculty. As in prior programs, we will address up-to-the-minute, cutting edge regulatory issues affecting industry and consumers alike. Among the likely “hot” topics for this year’s program are:
  • Firsthand insights from the Federal Insurance Office;
  • Emerging international issues facing global insurers and affecting transnational markets;
  • Highlights of 2015 NAIC priorities;
  • Current federal insurance regulatory issues, such as implementation of the reauthorized TRIA and systemic risk criteria;
  • Self-Driving Cars Regulatory Dilemma?; and
  • The always-stimulating “Commissioners’ Roundtable,” which brings together influential state insurance regulators for a panel showcasing their views on recent insurance legal and regulatory developments.
