With the need for investment vastly outpacing the availability of public sector funding, public-private partnerships (P3s) are gaining increased acceptance as a means of delivering a wide variety of infrastructure assets, from roads, bridges, airports, seaports, railways, municipal transit facilities, water and wastewater facilities, electricity generation and transmission facilities and pipelines to "social" infrastructure such as courthouses, jails, stadiums and university housing.

In this program, participants will identify key concepts involved in the procurement and delivery of infrastructure projects through public-private partnerships, such as an enabling legal framework, procurement issues, design and construction contracting, principles of effective risk allocation and financing issues.
