Description:

On August 6, 2020, President Trump issued two parallel executive orders (“EOs”) targeting the Chinese parent companies of popular social media apps.  Given the extraordinary breadth and ambiguity of the EOs, Chinese and U.S. companies and many others are looking to the Trump Administration for additional clarity on how the EOs will be implemented. This panel will share their insights into the recent Trump Administration sanctions, discuss the potential challenges and impacts upon cross-border business, and provide strategic considerations for companies and business investors on how to navigate the associated risks.
