Description:
How can international not-for-profit organizations help to build a sustainable future for Africa? Our panel will discuss ways in which such organizations can promote sustainable practices to help ensure that development in Africa meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We plan to explore all three pillars of sustainability—environmental, economic and social—with panel members addressing various tools necessary to create sustainable development, including, for example, natural resource management, sanitation and access to food and water, education and capacity-building, law and governance and economic empowerment.
