Our esteemed panel will discuss one of the hottest topics in the restructuring practice this year, Third Party Releases and the various current topics and issues relating to Third Party Releases. The panel consists of ----- Hon. Judge Robert Drain of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York (who presided over In re Purdue Pharma, LLC), Hon. Judge Karen B. Owens of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (who presided over In re Gulf Coast), Fordham University Adjunct Professor of Law and retired Judge Allan L. Gropper of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, and Marshall S. Huebner of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP (who argued on behalf of Perdue Pharma before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit). Moderating the panel is Brooklyn Law School David M. Barse Professor of Law, Edward Janger. This promises to be an engaging discussion of various perspectives and insights into Third Party Releases and the future use of Third Party Releases in Chapter 11 cases.
