Description:
In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the New York City Bar Association, the New York City Affairs Committee invites you to an evening featuring five former Corporation Counsels of the City of New York. The former Corporation Counsels will discuss significant matters litigated during their tenure and their impact on New York City affairs. As the chief lawyer for the City, the Corporation Counsel leads the New York City Law Department, overseeing approximately 1,000 attorneys and 890 support professionals. With offices in all five boroughs and in Kingston, New York, the Law Department handles over 70,000 active or ongoing legal matters each year. The office is one of the largest in New York State and among the largest public law offices in the United States.
