Description:
Are you looking for advice on how to overcome the challenges facing minority law students and LL.M. candidates as they transition from the classroom into compliance or legal careers? Please join the New York City Bar Association for a frank virtual discussion with compliance lawyers of exceptionally diverse backgrounds on what it means to be a compliance professional and the opportunities for minority law students and LL.M. candidates to have fulfilling careers in the compliance space.
Participants will have the opportunity, in smaller, rotating virtual group sessions, to engage with experienced and diverse lawyers on their personal career paths in compliance. They will discuss how they overcame the professional challenges for minority law students and lawyers, and practical steps that minority law students and LL.M. candidates can take to overcome racial and gender bias and break into the compliance field.
