Description:
International transactions present unique issues in complying with a panoply of rules intended to protect against corrupt behavior. They occur across multiple jurisdictions; involve multiple parties with their own networks of suppliers, vendors and agents; require familiarity with foreign as well as US laws; and often entail enhanced due diligence on the part of lenders. This panel is comprised of experts in corporate governance; AML/export controls/sanctions/FCPA; dealings with governments; and the use of technology to aid in executing transactions in a manner compliant with these requirements. After brief descriptions, the panelists will illustrate their applicability in a hypothetical transaction.
