Description:
Please join us for an exploration of current copyright issues with David Nimmer, the author of the treatise widely regarded as the preeminent work on copyright law, Nimmer on Copyright.  This year marks the 60th Anniversary of this seminal work that has helped shape our understanding of copyright law for decades, cited in over 3,500 court opinions including citations by every federal court of appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.  With recent events and trends involving complex copyright issues capturing tremendous popular attention such as the rise of generative AI, NFTs, and a Supreme Court case concerning when art is considered transformative, this is a timely opportunity to celebrate this milestone and gain insight into copyright developments from the country’s foremost scholar on copyright law.
