Description:
Collectively bargained benefits, including pension and welfare benefits, can have a substantial impact on corporate transactions and other business decisions. Join us and hear from our panelists, each with decades of experience handling collectively bargained benefits, as they discuss common issues that arise during deals, including: 1) retiree health coverage for life; 2) union pension obligations, including ERISA withdrawal liability; and 3) the buyer's obligation to bargaining with seller's union over terms of employment. These issues, if not addressed appropriately, could upend a deal. The panel will also provide strategies for addressing collectively bargaining benefits without making any of them a dealbreaker.
