Tuesday, November 17, 2026 | 5:30pm - 7:00pm | Reception 7:00 pm - 7:30pm

Format: In-Person
Where:
New York City Bar
42 West 44th Street
New York, NY 10036

Description:
This program will explore the evolving landscape of entertainment financing across a broad range of media properties, including independent film, television, theater, live entertainment, gaming, and emerging forms of digital media. Moderators will engage panelists in a discussion about the legal and business structures commonly used to develop, finance, produce, and monetize entertainment projects across these different types of media, including as equity investments, debt financing, tax incentives, co-productions, slate financing, sponsorships, pre-sales, licensing arrangements, and alternative financing models, and address how financing considerations differ across media formats and distribution models and funding sources. Attorneys practicing in the areas of media and entertainment, media, corporate and corporate finance, and intellectual property will benefit from practical guidance on structuring transactions, allocating risk, negotiating financing documents, and advising clients in a rapidly changing media landscape, especially as the boundaries between traditional and emerging media continue to blur and transmedia adaptions become more and more prevalent. This program will provide attendees with a current, cross-disciplinary understanding of the legal and commercial issues shaping entertainment finance today.

Special Feature: This program will be followed by a networking reception sponsored by Moore & Van Allen.
