Description:

This event will focus on the unique legal challenges these fashion designers & models face in the fashion industry, including Immigration & Nationality Law, the Non-Immigrant Visas process, the Immigration Permanent Resident and U.S. Naturalization process. The panelist will also discuss intellectual property matters, the Fashion Worker's Act, employment issues, navigating import regulations with custom brokers, determining tariff classification & valuation, politics of fashion & race, and branding, and more. Designers will discuss how they have integrated elements of their heritage into contemporary designs, and ways in which designers are responding to the needs of a new global population.
