Description:
The National Anti-Corruption System (Sistema Nacional Anticorrupción, SNA) was enacted to develop a tougher and more comprehensive approach to fighting corruption.  Nearly five years after this law’s passage, however, corruption remains one of the most significant issues facing Mexico, which continues receiving low marks in Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index. This panel of experts from Mexico and the United States will discuss what, if any, effect the SNA has had on Mexico’s business culture; what the AMLO administration has been doing to fight against public sector corruption; and what the Biden Administration’s approach to the Foreign Corruption Practices Act means for international businesses operating in Mexico and Mexican companies with ties to the United States and its capital markets.
