Description:
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused dislocations throughout supply chains all over the world. Companies in various sectors and industries are facing serious financial difficulties due to decreasing income, which is having a further effect in complying with their obligations before their creditors. The program will provide an overview of how the COVID-19 crisis is affecting creditors and debtors in Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Spain and the United States. Speakers will also discuss the implications of the crisis for potential restructuring proceedings in their jurisdictions, including the key changes that have been made to their bankruptcy regimes in the wake of the crisis, and the tools available to parties involved in cross-border bankruptcies, including the extent to which it is possible to obtain the recognition of the effects of foreign reorganization proceedings in each jurisdiction.
