Description:
COVID-19 has had a significant impact on Latin America’s energy, mining and infrastructure sectors. Companies in those sectors have had to reshape their strategies to respond to the challenges posed by the pandemic as well as new government regulations.  They have done so in the context of what many are describing as the beginning of a commodities super cycle that has witnessed a sharp rise in commodities prices. This expert panel of in-house lawyers will provide a recent overview of business side and legal developments in their sectors that are relevant to U.S. practitioners and investors.  Panelists will also address the potential need for financings, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions in their sectors. Panelists will further address recent developments related to ESG in their sectors. Finally, the panel will address China’s and the United States’ role in Latin America’s energy, mining and infrastructure sectors.
