Description:
In addition to its public health consequences, the coronavirus pandemic has led to a significant increase in government debt around the world as governments have cut taxes and/or increased spending in an attempt to provide support to their economics. While many governments are monetizing their debts, there will nonetheless be a need for increased tax revenues in various jurisdictions. This program will provide an overview of how the COVID-19 crisis has affected business and individual taxes for investors in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Spain and the United States. Panelists will address how COVID will impact tax policies for investors in their jurisdictions and how to take advantage of favorable developments in their jurisdictions.
