Description:
This program will address reproductive rights and justice for women who are non-citizens and immigrant survivors of gender-based violence in the rapidly evolving Post-Dobbs environment in the United States. Amplified threats to rights to health and abortion will be evaluated in light of proliferating restrictions on access to abortion and reproductive health services. Panelists will provide the most current information on the environment from legal, health policy, and critical feminist perspectives. ASISTA will present its Practice Alert and guidance for representing immigrant women and survivors of gender based-violence at the intersection of immigration and abortion rights. Access to trauma-informed health and mental health services will also be discussed.
