Description:

The 33nd annual program on Current Issues in Insurance Regulation features regional and national leaders exploring topical issues of importance to the insurance industry, with opportunities for questions and interaction with the faculty. As in prior programs, we will address up-to-the-minute, cutting edge regulatory and other emerging issues affecting the insurance industry and consumer’s alike, with a focus on New York and national issues. The program will begin with a keynote Fireside Chat with John Finston, Executive Deputy Superintendent for Insurance of the New York State Department of Financial Services and James Wrynn, Senior Managing Director, FTI Consulting. 

Among the topics for this year’s program: 

  • “AI in Insurance” panel that will highlight the frenzy of AI activity in insurance, the insurance industry impact and the regulatory response. 
  • Insurance Industry General Counsel Panel Commissioners’ Roundtable
  • A Commissioners’ Roundtable showcasing the priorities for insurance regulators and the NAIC
