Description:
Video games and interactive entertainment are the flashpoint for many of today’s cutting-edge intellectual property issues. From protecting the copyright in the game itself, to collateral challenges such as navigating advertising rules written for a fixed medium, this panel discusses the IP challenges faced by those in the video game industry. Topics include navigating IP enforcement when referencing third-party creative content, applying existing marketing regulations to non-traditional and in-game marketing, and the legal obligations emerging from digital item sales.
