Discover the art and tradition of matcha at a special introduction to the Japanese Way of Tea, a centuries-old practice centered on mindfulness, hospitality, and connection.
Kukiko Mitani, a Japanese tea instructor affiliated with the Urasenke Chanoyu Center, will guide attendees through a talk and demonstration exploring the traditions and practices of the Japanese Way of Tea. Following the demonstration, participants will have the opportunity to taste matcha and experience elements of a traditional tea gathering firsthand.
Whether you are a matcha enthusiast or experiencing Japanese tea culture for the first time, this gathering offers a welcoming opportunity to connect, learn, and experience a meaningful cultural tradition.
