Bodily Autonomy and the Legal Implications of Nonconsensual Interventions on Intersex Children: The Next Frontier of Conversion Therapy

Description:
Representatives from the intersex advocacy movement will speak about the fight to protect
the bodily autonomy of youth born with variations in their sex characteristics. Panelists
will discuss current legislative efforts in New York regarding intersex bodily autonomy, as
well as the wider legal landscape for intersex individuals. The panel will begin with a brief
"101" and include a Q&A at its conclusion. Attendees entirely unfamiliar with this issue
are encouraged to attend.
