Description:
As the pandemic continues to impact how you work, it becomes increasingly important not to respond as if it were merely a temporary phenomenon – one to “buckle down” for and push through – and instead see it more as an uncertain, indefinite presence.  This underscores the importance of engaging with and becoming more proactive in response to the way that it interferes with motivation and focus.  At the same time, addressing this shift often does not lend itself to the sort of linear problem-solving that lawyers typically use for their day-to-day tasks.  Join Joel Kosman, a psychotherapist and former practicing attorney, and Emily Lambert, Clinical Coordinator of the City Bar’s LAP, to learn about practices and techniques to help you better navigate these uncertain times and stay motivated in your law practice.  You’ll also have the chance to ask questions regarding particular challenges that you may be facing.

Speakers:
Joel Kosman, LCSW. was a practicing attorney for 20 years before becoming a psychotherapist.  He is currently in private practice - working mostly with lawyers - and is also a Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School.

Emily Lambert, LCSW, Clinical Coordinator, Lawyer Assistance Coordinator
