This program will discuss workplace accommodation laws through the lens of mental health disabilities. All too often, stigmas and stereotypes surrounding mental health disabilities interfere with an employee’s ability to access and, similarly, employer’s ability to extend workplace accommodations. This CLE will educate attendees about common mental health disabilities, explore how those disabilities manifest in the workplace, discuss the process for which employees can seek and receive reasonable accommodations, as well as offer best practices for employers in identifying, evaluating, and effectuating accommodate requests associated with mental health disabilities.
