Women of Color in Local and State Government

The panel is composed of women representing local and state government agencies. The panelists will discuss barriers minority women face working in government, including issues such as having a mentor, advancement and inter-personal relationships with superiors and colleagues. They will also discuss the opportunities available within the government agencies, how to transition from one agency to another as well as positions outside of government.
