Description:
Moderated panel discussion about the qualifications for and application process to become an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. Special emphasis on discussion of diversity efforts and recruiting for these positions. Panelists will discuss the structure of the office in their District, the types of cases that attorneys generally get to work on, the "career paths" available, the qualifications sought for the position of Assistant United States Attorney and the basics of applying to the office in each District. Additionally, panelists will share information regarding their individual professional trajectories.
