Finding Your Sense of Purpose

Finding Your Sense of Purpose — Both in Your Daily Work and Your Overall Career Evolution
Thursday, May 16, 2019 | 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Program Fee: $5 for Student Members | $15 for Members | $30 for Non-Members

Description:

Spiritual dimension, one of the key areas discussed in the ABA Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being’s report, entails "developing a sense of meaningfulness and purpose in all aspects of life." In this panel discussion, we plan to discuss how lawyers can find purpose, meaning and happiness at work -- both in their daily responsibilities and in their overall career evolution. We will pose important questions that lawyers should ask themselves to arrive at their sense of purpose, and also provide a framework for each individual to develop a personal "Mission Statement" based on their goals, values and beliefs. In addition, we will offer some suggestions on the self-supporting practices that can enable lawyers to find the time and space to reflect on their sense of purpose.
