Description:
A self-compassionate lawyer is a more effective lawyer. Being self-compassionate is prerequisite to both compassion toward others and a happy, healthy life. Please join this one-hour talk to better understand what self-compassion is, the science of self-compassion, and how you can practice it on a daily basis. Some of the topics we will address: How does self-compassion impact the body and brain? How is self-compassion different from self-indulgence or self-esteem? Where does the inner critic come from and what can we do to create a more helpful voice in our head? This workshop is meant to help you flourish and build new habits in 2023.
Introduction:
Lisa Podemski
, Chair, Mindfulness and Well-Being Law Committee
