Description:
The Mindfulness and Well-Being in Law Committee is excited to announce the selection for our next book club! Join us every other month as we come together as a community to explore books that relate to mindfulness, well-being and how they relate to our lives as lawyers.

Our next book club will be held on March 14. We are reading The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim. In this timely guide to mindfulness, Haemin Sunim, a Buddhist monk born in Korea and educated in the United States, offers advice on everything from handling setbacks to dealing with rest and relationships, in a beautiful book combining his teachings with calming illustrations. The book’s simple messages speak directly to the anxieties that have become part of modern life and remind us of the strength and joy that come from slowing down. The world moves fast, but that doesn't mean we have to.

The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down is available at Bookshop.org, Amazon, Target, and your local public library or independent book store.

We look forward to sharing this initiative of the Mindfulness and Well-Being Committee with you and engaging as a community through books on how mindfulness can help us live better lives.

*While we encourage you to read the book, it is not necessary to have completed the book to participate in the conversation.
