Description:
The federal securities laws in the United States are designed to regulate the securities industry and protect investors.  The securities industry includes the regulation of the stock exchanges, investment advisors, and broker dealers as well as the regulation of strategic transactions such as IPOs or mergers and acquisitions.

Our panel of experienced lawyers will discuss their own career paths in the securities industry, from a transactional, regulatory and litigation perspective.  Offering advice and tips on how to find that first job in the field and succeed. The panel will also discuss best practices for networking, mentorship and how to develop professional connections within your firm or company.  For experienced attorneys, career progression will be discussed, as well as in-house opportunities for those with Securities law experience.
