Description:

New lawyers hoping to counsel clients through a conflict must know more than standard courtroom advocacy. Lawyers often resolve disputes through negotiation, mediation and arbitration -- subjects that are often overlooked in law school curricula.

During this panel, you will hear from experts in different areas of ADR with the "nuts and bolts" of their practice area. The panel will also touch upon careers within dispute resolution itself, including roles as mediators, ombudspeople, and within government agencies. Finally, we will discuss the ways in which the pandemic has affected the practice of both litigation and dispute resolution.

Speakers:
Halley B. Anolik, Director of Education and Training, Center for Creative Conflict Resolution
Lara Traum, Partner, Roytberg Traum Law and Mediation, P.C.
Stephen Wah, Associate, Blank Rome LLP

Moderator:
Brian Farkas, Partner, ArentFox Schiff LLP
