Description:
This program will provide a basic understanding of the essential tools
of estate planning: Advanced Directives, Wills and Trusts. It is an
excellent opportunity for estate planning attorneys to update their
knowledge and enhance their skills and for non-estate planning attorneys
to learn to identify and address common issues that emerge in estate
planning practice.
Speakers will address:
- Pending revisions to Article 5 of the New York General Obligations Law
- Psychiatric advance directives
- Adoption of a New York Trust Code
- Digital wills
Tips and tools for document preparation and drafting will be provided as well as sample documents.
