Description:

This CLE will cover the fundamentals of litigating Article 78 proceedings, with a specific focus on land use matters in New York City. Attorneys whose practice involves land use litigation, administrative law, or litigate Article 78 proceedings generally will learn or brush up on important issues in this practice area.

Attendees will benefit by learning:

  • What to know when bringing or responding to an Article 78 proceeding.
  • What are the critical procedural issues to consider in litigating Article 78 land use proceedings.
  • The various standards and levels of deference afforded to different City land use agencies in Article 78 proceedings.
