This program provides transitional/non-transitional credit to all attorneys
Description:
Technology impacts nearly every aspect of the practice of law. In this
CLE program targeted to solo and small firm practitioners, we will
consider typical types of technology in use, the attendant risks, and
strategies for managing those risks. Topics will include:
- Identifying and avoiding potential risks such as ransomware, data breach, and lost hardware
- Overview of the legal landscape (e.g. the EU General Data
Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act of
2018)
- Best practices for preparing for corporate client requirements letters
- Using cyberinsurance to help mitigate the legal risk
