Description:
Emerging telemedicine technologies offer hospitals and other healthcare providers a wealth of opportunities, including the ability to provide care to patients in remote locations and to monitor the health of patients who require close supervision from the comforts of home. But with those opportunities come a way array of potential legal challenges including:
  • Licensure and practice of medicine issues that are implicated when a provider is in one state and the patient is in another
  • Medical malpractice
  • Tort claims arising out of failure to respond when monitored data shows that the patient is experiencing distress
  • HIPAA/data privacy issues
Come to this program to hear from a seasoned panel of practitioners and learn how to counsel your clients effectively.
