This program will offer attorneys a comprehensive overview of the legal,
financial and practical considerations of retirement planning. The
three-hour program will include presentations in three primary areas of
concern to most retirees, i.e. healthcare costs, income and retirement
benefits. The program will also help attorneys identify potential issues
for New York or dual-state residents, and will include a presentation
on the practical and ethical considerations of closing a law practice
that will be applicable to many solo and small firm attorneys who may
attend the program. The goal of the program is to educate the attendees
about the various government and private benefits available to retirees
and seniors, to be incorporated into any conversation about planning for
retirement.
