This program provides transitional/non-transitional credit to all attorneys

Description:
At this program a panel of experienced practitioners will cover some of the hot button legal issues affecting the art world today. This program is intended for those who practice art law, litigation and trust and estates law, as well as those with clients in the art industry, and business executives in the art industry.

Topics discussed will include:
  • Cultural property developments
  • Nazi-looted art issues
  • Copyright matters, including Visual Artists’ Rights Act (VARA) developments and the proposed CASE Act (Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement Act)
  • The recent Agnes Martin catalogue raisonné decision (and related provenance / authentication issues and how they affect art transactions)
