In honor of the 20th Annual Small Law Firm Symposium, a moderated panel of solo and small
law firm practitioners will discuss how the topic of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging
(DEIB) have changed the legal landscape over the last 20 years. The panelists will weigh in on
changes in the legal field and how DEIB has affected their business. Topics will include looking
back on how the DEIB dialogues (and expansion from only “diversity”) have changed and
evolved; the impact of having a continuing legal education credit program requirement for New
York attorneys; combatting “diversity/DEIB fatigue”; how DEIB has impacted small firm & solo
practitioners generally in their legal practice dealings within their firms and the respective legal
community related to their practice.
