Description:
This program will explain the origin and application of the 2019
Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act (DVSJA) which amended sentencing
provisions and authorized re-sentencing for convicted survivors of
domestic violence. The program will also provide guidance in
trauma-informed representation of domestic violence survivors and a
procedural overview of sentencing and pre-sentencing hearings.
