Description:
The Gender Recognition Act passed in June 2021 removing longstanding barriers to equality and expands protection for transgender and non-binary New Yorkers. The legislation streamlines the process to change the name or gender marker on a New York State-issued driver’s license, ID, or birth certificate, and requires numerous public and private entities to honor a person’s name change.

This CLE shall provide an overview of the Gender Recognition Act with an emphasis on the Name Change Process. Additionally the training shall provide best practices when working with TGNC clients.
