Description:
A conversation with columnist Paula Span, a veteran journalist whose writing specializes in topics around aging and caregiving. She writes two blogs for the New York Times, the popular "New Old Age" and "Generation Grandparent," which are sometimes called "a support group in print." Span has been a journalism professor at Columbia University since 1999 and is the author of a book about elders published by Hachette. She was a longtime staff reporter for the Washington Post, has been writing at New York Times since 2009, and has been published in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe, Philadelphia Magazine, New York Magazine, the Washingtonian, Glamour, Redbook, Esquire, Smithsonian and others.
