Join the New York City Bar Association and A Better Balance as we mark the 40th Anniversary of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act with an evening discussing the role lawyers play in the continued fight to end pregnancy discrimination.

In 2018, women are still being forced to choose between their paycheck and a healthy pregnancy, especially those in low-wage and physically demanding jobs. This program will include a conversation among advocates, EEOC attorneys, litigators, and academics about the progress that has been made since the PDA’s passage, the difficulties that remain, and situating pregnancy discrimination in the broader reproductive justice narrative. Participants will come away from the evening with concrete opportunities to engage in efforts to eliminate pregnancy discrimination.
