Description:
Join us for a discussion with the United Nations Ambassador from Poland, Krzysztof Szczerski, and the President of the Pilsudski Institute, Iwona Korga, who will review the American-Polish alliance during past wars, discuss the lessons learned from that history, and draw implications for the politics in Central and Eastern Europe since Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
Their talk will cover the story of Marian Cooper, the American pilot who fought in the Polish-Bolshevik War; America's support in the fight for Polish independence during 1919-1921; the establishment and history of the Pilsudski Institute; and the current conditions in Eastern Europe.
