Join us for a Fireside Chat featuring Commissioner of the IRS Charles P. Rettig as he addresses topics including the IRS’s 2021 budget and resource allocation priorities; the IRS’s role in COVID relief programs; COVID’s impact on the IRS’s ability to execute its mission; and the IRS’s enforcement priorities for 2021. As the 49th Commissioner of the IRS, Mr. Rettig presides over an agency of about 80,000 employees and a budget of more than $11 billion. He is responsible for the nation’s tax system, which collects more than $3.5 trillion in tax revenue each year representing about 96% of the total gross receipts of the United States. Commissioner Rettig will provide valuable insights for lawyers and other tax practitioners.
