Thursday, December 7, 2023 | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Format: In-Person

There is no fee to attend, but registration is required.

Description:
Jean-François Bohnert has been the National Financial Prosecutor of France since 2019, and is tasked with prosecuting financial crimes including overseas corruption, money laundering and tax evasion.  He has achieved notable victories, including large trial verdicts against foreign corporations doing business in France, and has modernized his office’s procedures to include outreach to corporate entities to engage in discussions leading to a non-criminal judgment akin to the American Deferred Prosecution Agreement.  He is leading efforts in Europe to address money-laundering and kleptocracy initiatives, and has developed a fruitful relationship with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Loretta E. Lynch served as the 83rd Attorney General of the United States and oversaw the U.S. Department of Justice’s more than 100,000 employees across numerous agencies and offices, including the Department’s major litigating divisions and the 93 U.S. Attorneys, as well as DOJ’s major investigative agencies, including, among others, the FBI and the DEA.

Join us for a Fireside Chat with Mr. Bohnert and former Attorney General and current Paul Weiss Litigation partner Loretta E. Lynch, followed by a reception and opportunity to chat with them and two senior members of the Ministry of Justice.
