Grit 2.0: The Latest Research & Practical Strategies

Grit 2.0: The Latest Research & Practical Strategies for a Successful, Fulfilling Career
Thursday, October 25, 2018 | 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Program Fee: $5 for Student Members | $10 for Members | $25 for Non-Members

Description:
This program will identify two characteristics - grit and growth mindset - that many successful women lawyers have in common and that have been shown to correlate highly with success (often above and beyond IQ, class rank, or other traditional measure of intelligence). This program will educate participants about the science behind these traits, provide attendees with tools to assess their own levels of grit and growth mindset, and offer practical ways to incorporate these concepts into their practice. In addition, participants will hear from some of the most successful women lawyers in practice today about how they personally have applied grit and growth mindset and brought those trains to bear in their own impressive careers. Finally, participants will be given the opportunity to explore for themselves how best to apply these traits in context - whether arguing a deposition, making a pitch or juggling a heavy workload. We hope you can join us for this engaging, interactive and thought-provoking program!
