Online registration is now closed. Please call 212 382 6663 for assistance!
Format: WEBINAR

Description:
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) continues to reshape financial services with rapid innovation and equally rapid regulatory responses. DAOs, decentralized exchanges, and yield-bearing stablecoins are testing the boundaries of U.S. securities and commodities laws, while global frameworks such as MiCA and Asia’s DAO laws are emerging.

This CLE program brings together leading practitioners to examine how legal structures such as DAOs, foundations, and newer innovative wrappers intersect with U.S. and international regulation, as well as the regulatory and enforcement landscape affecting decentralized exchanges, algorithmic stablecoins, and yield-bearing DeFi products.

Attendees will gain practical insights into entity formation, legal governance, liability management, and the future of DeFi regulation across jurisdictions.

This program will provide insight on:

  • Objective 1: Understand legal entity frameworks such as DAOs and DUNAs and their implications for liability and governance.
  • Objective 2: Understand the current approaches to regulating DeFi in the U.S. and abroad, and regulatory and enforcement priorities
  • Objective 3: Identify enforcement, litigation and compliance risks for DeFi participants under evolving U.S. law.
