For New York Attorneys:
Newly admitted attorneys (those admitted to the New York State Bar for two years or less) may participate in Skills CLE courses in  live, nontraditional formats, where questions are allowed during the program (through June 30, 2021 per recent guidance of the CLE Board – for more information, click here).  

Program Fee:

$199 for Members | $299 for Nonmembers
Small Law Firm: $99 for Members
Members who are Law Students, Recent Law Graduates, Newly Admitted Lawyers (admitted for the first time in any state or country 2019-2021), In-House/Corporate Counsel, Judges, or attorneys that practice within the Government, Academic or Not-for-Profit sectors attend this program for free.

Pennsylvania: 2.5 General
Connecticut: Available to Licensed Attorneys

Description:
This program is an introduction to the basic probate process in New York. We will go through the requirements and forms needed to:
  1. Access a Decedent's residence after their death
  2. Attempt to locate the Will by accessing Decedent’s safe deposit box
  3. Petition the court for the appointment of an Executor or an Administrator to manage the Decedent’s estate
Speakers will also discuss frequent issues and nuances that arise.

Who Should Attend: This is a good program for newly admitted, transitioning, non Trusts/Estates, and those attorneys who want to sharpen their skills.
