Description:
Personnel, Terminology, and Culture: A chance to learn the nuts and bolts of how New York Supreme Court functions from those who work behind the scenes. They will identify and discuss differences between litigation in New York state court and federal court, basic terms and key players in the state courts, the rules of practice governing Supreme Court practice, the locations of and functions of and functions of Supreme Court offices in New York City, the mechanics of how a litigation progresses in the Supreme Court, filing papers and courtroom custom and practice.
