Description:
The 31st annual program on Current Issues in Insurance Regulation features regional and national leaders exploring topical issues of importance to the insurance industry, with opportunities for questions and interaction with the faculty. As in prior programs, we will address up-to-the-minute, cutting edge regulatory and other emerging issues affecting the insurance industry and consumers alike, with a focus on New York and national issues.
Among the topics for this year’s program are:
• Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Discrimination in Insurance –How Digital Technology Is Changing Risk-Based Underwriting, Ethics and Fairness
• The Insurance M&A Boom: Opportunities across Sectors; Consolidation; New Areas for Growth; Transaction Structures; and the Regulatory Response
• A Commissioners’ Roundtable showcasing the vantage point of state-insurance regulators
