Description:
An airtight trial record is at least as important to a Supreme Court case as the art of appellate advocacy.  This program will focus on the trial team's strategy before the district court to build a record that tackled head on anticipated challenges from a hostile Fifth Circuit and a changing SCOTUS. Attendees will learn the considerations behind choosing the right lead plaintiff, witnesses, experts, documents, and venue in a test case of the constitutionality of a state law.
